Kalfin Jewellery has established a number of company policies to uphold our commitment to superior customer service and maintain a high level of moral standards. We welcome you to view our company policies or contact us if you have any further questions.
PAYMENT POLICY:
We accept the following methods of payment – eftpos, major credit cards, bank transfers and cash.
We do not accept – AMEX (American Express) Diners, personal and bank cheques, or traveller’s cheques.
We do not offer lay-by or lay-aways.
All credit cards incur a 2% surcharge (subject to change with any new regulations). Eftpos transactions are free of any surcharge.
Clients using a direct deposit method must allow 1-2 days for funds to clear in our account before picking up their items. Receipt of transfers will not be deemed as payment. The recovery of funds and fees or charges incurred as a result of mistakes whilst transferring funds are the responsibility of the client.
All items selected from our inventory must be paid for in full before pick-up, or before any alterations are made.
All custom-made orders require a minimum 50% deposit (which can change depending on the value of the item) before work commences. The balance is payable upon completion.
All items remain the property of Kalfin Jewellery until full payment is received.
CLEANING & PLATING POLICY:
Kalfin Jewellery strives to set high customer service standards long after your purchase.
We welcome you to bring your Kalfin Jewellery item for a ‘quick clean’ as often as you like. We do not require you to make an appointment and we can complete the clean within a few minutes while you wait. Our quick clean will breathe life back into your diamonds and gemstones. There is no charge for this service. It is a great way to maintain your jewellery in peak condition. We will also conduct a visual check of your item to make sure all is well.
We also recommend an annual clean which is more detailed and involves more than the quick clean. This process involves the removal of minor scratches and dints and a thorough polish and clean. White gold items that require rhodium plating will incur a small plating fee. Yellow gold, rose gold and platinum items are totally free of charge.
Any repairs that may be required as a result of the inspection will be quoted accordingly.
CUSTOM DESIGN POLICY:
At Kalfin Jewellery we are dedicated to satisfying the needs and requirements of our clients. We have devised a thorough process that allows our clients to check and re-check any custom-design work before we physically begin making the item.
Any alterations and amendments that adhere to the original design can be made at these stages without charge. A change of mind or a completely new design concept may incur extra charges. Once you have signed off on the design files, we begin to make your item. Upon completion of the item according to the supplied specifications, any major changes or need to remake the item will incur additional charges.
RE-SIZE POLICY:
At Kalfin Jewellery we endeavour to get the finger size right at the time of purchase. In the unlikely event that a size has not been measured correctly by one of our jewellers, we will undertake the re-sizing work free of charge within a six week period from your date of purchase.
All rings that are required to be re-sized that have not been originally measured by our jewellers will incur a fee.
Most re-sizing work can be completed within a week, depending on the complexity of the design.
REPAIR POLICY:
At Kalfin Jewellery we perform a variety of repairs – from re-sizing to re-tipping and much more. All work is conducted with our utmost care and precision. We take every precaution to ensure the integrity of the item being repaired.
All repairs undertaken are the responsibility of the client.
All items that have been enhanced or treated in any way or form must be disclosed at the time the item is submitted for repair, particularly diamonds and coloured gemstones. All damages resulting from any failure to disclose will be the client’s responsibility.
